Re: 30 Years of Series 2

It didn't burn down but it wouldn't have been a bad thing if it had. Mind you it kept the rain off our heads and somewhere to eat our pies.

Re: 30 Years of Series 2

Series two was a happy and sad affair as Gary had died. I still remember the last episode with Tim Healy dedicating the episode to Gary and Wayne.
Also remember it well as I was on work experience at the time on a building site in Berkhamsted and we even had a hut!

Once a year for me. As soon as the evenings draw in and the clocks change I reach for the box set and watch from beginning to end.

Middlesbrough Transporter Bridge to reopen following revamp

The lads would be proud. Middlesbrough's Transporter Bridge is to reopen following a £4m revamp. The 104-year-old structure closed in August 2013 and the refurbishment was expected to last eight months. However, a string of problems meant the reopening date was repeatedly put back. The bridge reopen...

Moxey rendering the front of Thorneley Manor was another classic. Most of it ended up covering the scaffold boards.

Gary Holton 30th anniversary.

2015 will see the 30th anniversary of the passing of Gary Holton aka our beloved Wayne. Any ideas how we could all mark this sad but special occasion?

How can Neville be so useless as a carpenter?

Watching episode one series one last night and it strikes me as strange that Neville could have been so useless as a chippy. I understand the fact he was trained as a bricky but I've worked on many building sites and never have come across someone who couldn't even use a saw properly or would have k...

Beco Building site v Albert Square

Was wondering if it was possible to have an overlay of the current Albert Square set on top of the Beco Building site layout. Would be interesting to see where things fit in relation to how things were to how they are now, especially the hut.......just a thought.
