Re: Oz and Moxey - Chemistry

"I'll scud you" was in the second series not the first while he was playing snooker. He also threatened to slap him at Pringle's when he was talking about Mrs Chatterley. He seemed to prefer Mox to Wayne but he rarely threatened Wayne.

You can buy both series on dvd, both at a cheap price. Definitely worth it.
Shame they haven't released Spender on DVD yet though.

Re: Things that make you go hmmm

Marjorie Doesn't Live Here Anymore's one of my favourites but some things don't add up. Oz goes back to the exact same flat from the first series where Douglas and Jean now reside but it's gone from a three storey flat to a tower block on the sixth floor. And why doesn't Oz see that Wayne has the wr...

The New Statesmen starring Rik Mayall

I've just started watching this on DVD and I'm enjoying it so far. Was before my time so I'd never seen it before. I've noticed a couple of familiar faces from Auf Pet too. The actor who played pompous Geoffrey in Spain, and Helmut's granddad as a Nazi.

Re: Tiny moments in AWP you hate.

Just to be a bit controversial for season 2. As soon as the lads were at the manor and they cut and headed across to spain to the strum of a spannish guitar to see Ally Fraser and Kenny Ames on the tennis court, jacuzzi, golf course or restaurant for some 5 minute scene going on about property. Tha...

Still Crazy (1998)

Just picked this up in a cash converters for 50p so I wasn't expecting much but I enjoyed it. If I had heard of it before I'd forgotten about it.

Great cast, some good songs, and funny stuff.

Anyone else seen it?

Re: The Girls They Left Behind: My Notes

Oh I don't like that episode. for some reason any reference to brenda and I'm turned off and all the return to Newcastle bits aren't needed. Of course there are decent moments in the episode but I often skip that one when I'm revisiting and I don't feel like I missed much I like it but I always ski...

Re: How did you get into it?

The channel 4 screening in the mid 90's when I was about 11. My dad told me about how great the show was and I watched it with him and loved it. Oz was such a shock but I loved him straight away. If I remember rightly, there was a gap between series 1 and 2 when 4 showed them which was annoying.

Re: Series 3

Can anyone pinpoint what the difference is between S1 and 2 and the later ones? Just something different that I can't quite describe? Is it more slapstick? Less believable? I remember commenting at the time about how I enjoyed it but something wasn't quite the same. As has been said they're more po...
