Re: Fictional Dates
This can be wrapped up now. In the final episode of S1, Wayne tells Barry that they’ve been here for 6 months. Kevin Keegan signed for Newcastle according to the media on July 1st 1982, making his debut at the end of August when the season commenced. Let’s give it a few days for the papers to arriv...

Bomber's daughter asks Wayne if he likes Kim Wilde, and she didn't have her first hit until 1981.

Re: Still Game
The last ever episode is on this week. Thursday, I think. Followed by a retrospective documentary called That's Plenty.
I can't say the final series has been a classic. It's been very predictable and repetitive, in my opinion.

Re: Dennis owing money to Ally Fraser
Now I'm thinking about it, I'm surprised someone as sensible as Dennis allowed himself to get into that much bother with someone as crooked as Ally. Mind you, like he said, he was throwing cash around after he got back from Germany. Maybe borrowing from Ally seemed like the only way out of it.

Re: Dagmar asks out Dennis
Maybe it's the same as what Wyman's mam saw in him. The fact he's a straight up, sensible man. Not like the other six lunatics in the hut.

Re: Dennis owing money to Ally Fraser
According to the Bank of England inflation calculator (https://www.bankofengland.co.uk/monetary-policy/inflation/inflation-calculator), six grand in 1986 is the equivalent to £17,270.80 now. Also, there's bound to have been interest added on to that, and I doubt Ally was offering a reasonable rate. ...

Re: Howway man
We all need a bit of an escape from real life sometimes, and where better to get it than with the lads in a hut in Dusseldorf? Or a manor in Derbyshire, of course.

Re: Auf Pet actors in other TV shows.
I was watching new series of Moving On and trying to figure out who the teacher was in episode 2. He looked so familiar and just couldn't put my finger on it. Had to cheat and google who Mark Stobbart was and it's grown up Rod! Made me very proud. I saw that the other day, but I forgot to mention i...

Re: Things that make you go hmmm
In 'Suspicion', the lads always moan when the door of the hut is opened when it's freezing cold and ploating it down, but there's a scene where Nev is standing by the window, which is open.
If it's that cold, then why is the window open? I suspect it could be to get rid of Oz's fart smells...
