Re: Boon

Thanks for the reassurance, BarryTaylor. Finished watching the fifth series last night and thought it was the best one so far. The change from video to film and the music cues weren't a problem at all (The video look being much more toned down and the music wisely spread out and not as loud in compa...

Re: Boon

I agree with poxeymoxey with the third series being average in comparison to the first two series with only the opening two "Charity Begins At Home" episodes, "Honourable Service" and "One Reborn Every Minute" being the highlight episodes. At the moment, I'm finishing Series 4 and am not enjoying th...

60? Seems like yesterday when he was 50. Hope he had a good day despite time flying by.

Re: Gettin a few jars in?

Pringle might have disposed of the pint because he thought it would degrading to give the pint to another punter because it was originally supposed to be given to an Irishman.

Re: Arthur 'Tiger' Pringle

I take it he was crying because he had to sell the pub after it cost too much to run after using the takings to bulldoze the lads' brick wall?

Re: Oz & magowan

Always wondered what Bomber would have done with Magowan had he been around during that episode. Magowan certainly took advantage of his absence. Bomber would've sent Mac crashing to the ground with one punch to the gut and Mac would've reacted by crying "Mama!". Honestly i think Oz could have chin...

Re: Auf Pet actors in other TV shows.

Saw Christopher Fairbank in The Fifth Element whilst I was in England earlier this week. He came across as a yank version of our Mox. Also bought a few more Boons whilst I was over there in which one episode has Tim Spall in it looking at the pictures on the back of one DVD case.

Best thing for them to have done was all stand up to him and try to stay together until Bomber got back.

Re: Series 4

In light of it being 10 years since the fourth series first aired, I've been watching it again. I also can't believe it's been that long ago. Then again, what doesn't help is that I don't hold it or the specials as high as I do with the first three series; they just don't feel like AufPet episodes f...

Re: British Noughties Comedy

2DTV - Cartoon equivalent of Spitting Image. Hardware - Sitcom set in a hardware store starring Martin Freeman. The first series was great but the second was nowhere near as enjoyable. Early Doors - Brilliant sitcom set in a boozer and written by Craig Cash and Phil Mealey. Shame there wasn't a thir...

Re: Living abroad isn't all it's cracked up to be

I always heard Turkey was a bit iffy... is it?? Well, I do tend to get dizzy spells since I first moved out here. Mind you, a few of the ex-pats have fallen victim to a virus doing the rounds. Should imagine it is, Abdul's are unclean in their habits. On one instance; when you use the bog, you need...

Re: Living abroad isn't all it's cracked up to be

Ah, it's no fun out here in Turkey. It's a pity as I thought the experience of living in another country would be like it would in "Auf Pet". God only knows what Oz would've made of all this.
