Re: Other great UK programmes....
Maybe he couldn't get on there because he broke a chair over the producer's head. Probably for the best; he would've nicked the dartboard.

Yeah, I remember that one. It was before they were about to shoot the 2nd series of AufPet, wasn't it?

Re: How hard was Oz?
In 'Who Won the War Anyway' when he got into the fight in the bar it looks as if the German got the better of him. Mind you, you don't know if the German's mates ganged up on Oz, do you? I never really saw Oz as 'kind of mates' with Magowan. I've always got the impression that Oz was showing his in...

I remember Angelis used to narrate Thomas when I was a toddler. That's why I can't take him seriously whenever I hear his voice.

Did Neville and Brenda split up?
At the end of the specials, when Neville was asked what Brenda thought of him going to Germany, he replies "She just said 'Auf Wiedersehen, Pet'." From how he said it and considering how their relationship was like when the show returned, I'm not sure whether they split up or not.

Re: After series 2
We also know the marriage between Barry and Hazel went tits up whilst Moxey probably finished his porridge upon returning to England as he was now working for Startup at the start of Series 3. It also turns out Marjorie's relationship with her Italian boyfriend didn't work out if she's living in Car...

Re: Popular Tv series/Films you've never seen.
I've just ordered the 2nd series of Boon. I hope it'll be worth it considering the last popular show I tried wasn't up to my liking. I also wouldn't mind giving The Wire a try.

Steptoe & Son Doctor Who (1963 - 85) The Sweeney Minder Bulls-Eye (Another great Central TV production) Family Guy (Series 1 to 3) Apart from the failed revival attempts of Minder and The Sweeney, these are the only other shows that I consider untouchable along with AWP. The runner-ups are Early Doo...

The Alien
Brilliant episode, especially the performances of Elphick, Nail and Healy. Shame they had to write Bomber out of this one as I would've loved to see him walk in as Magowan thumps Neville and goes after Barry.

Re: AWP characters you've seen in other programmes.
Saw Michael "Magowan" Elphick in The Sweeney episode "One of your own" in where he plays the villain who wasn't able to be charged.
Also saw Herr Grunwold in another episode as well as a Minder and several guest roles in Doctor Who.
