Re: Anyone with other 80s/90s tv obsessions?
I'm looking at getting Stay Lucky. It was filmed in Sowerby Bridge, a town I used to live in from being 11-12, so it's nice to wTch and spot the locations. Apparently one of the stars, no big guess really was quite hard work. A lad I used to work with, his mother lived in a house and they were film...

By then it was too late for him to choose that part.

Re: Transporter Bridge Funny Fact!
I wonder if that was where they got the inspiration for Moxey's bike falling from the bridge into the drink from?

Not yet. Would be nice though as I would like to give it a crack and can't be bothered to watch it off YouTube.

Re: Crocodile Shoes DVD
Finished watching the set. Loved Series 1 (especially Alex Kingston in the nip) but not all that keen on the second series. Was surprised to see Idris Elba in an early role as Jed's inmate whilst watching Jimmy Nail falling off the boat certainly brings back memories of him recalling he had to go to...

Just started to watch this. Great viewing and a brilliant insight to how the managers act in the music industry.

Re: Boon
I think it was supposed to be part of an eighth series, judging by the look of the film and the fact the CCTV screens in the security office read 1993.BarryTaylor wrote:I've always been a bit bemused by the standalone episode 'Thieves Like Us' which was shown 2 years and 5 months later on May Day Bank Holiday 1995.

Re: Boon
Just finished watching Series 7. Good way for the show to end with the highlight episodes being "Walkout", "Away From It All", "Blackballed" and "Shot In The Dark". From watching "Thieves Like Us", it was a pity we never had that eighth series. 18/20 I also now think better of the third series too. ...

Is there anything about the show you would like to change?
Always wondered if there's certain things about the show other people would've liked to have been done differently. For me, I'd probably have a few more scenes featuring Magowan in Series 1 so the general public would be more familiar of him and more understanding of the situation the lads would be ...

Frasier
Have recently started watching the Frasier boxset that I bought when I was last back in England. Forgotten how good this show was after not seeing it for so long. Certainly brings back memories of when I watched it Friday nights back in the late '90s. Frasier's father still annoys me and makes me wa...

Dennis' conversation with Oz about the latter expecting to be treated by the Indian waiters as a long lost cousin when they go to curry house.
Another one is Barry's opinions on the porn film he, Moxey and Oz watch.
