'Series 1' Blooper

Noticed any 'Cock Up's' filming mistakes, continuity errors or something else?

Just thinking, doesn't Barry say..."Look that's from his wife(Marjorie)....but how did she get the letter if she's not in the flat?

It appears all evidence points towards Bommer saying ‘Boxing’!

However, in ‘Episode 11 – ‘The Lovers’ Neville opens up a tin of paint to discover it’s battleship grey - not yellow as agreed. Moxey is quick to say “Well I’m not having grey, it reminds me of prison’.

Might it be a general assumption that most people (ie Moxey) associate the colour grey with prison? Or was this a subtle hint to the viewer by the writers he’d spent time inside?

Food for thought...

In relation to the original post I quite often watch the dvd's with subtitles on, that way I can understand some stuff they're saying. Helped no end what Dennis said to Colin :- 'Divvn't drop your dottle on the proggy mat.'

Still not sure what it means

Well, finally this might help a lot of people, including me!

Took this from Flickr of all places.

"There used to be a small booklet produced in the early seventies by two north east television presenters, Mike Neville and George House. It took the form of a phrasebook and was titled " Larn Yersel Geordie".
One of the sentences was "This bus is lorchin aboot like a shuggyboat", the English translation being " This PSV seems a trifle unsteady!". They must have had an Altantean in mind when they wrote it.
Another one that I remember was "Divvn't drop yer dottle on the proggy mat". The English translation being "Please refrain from flicking cigarette ash onto the carpet"."

First episode when Oz, Den And Nev get off the boat, customs asks to look in the boot, and Oz tells Den it doesn't lock. Later in the episode when they stop to meet Herr Pfister Den tells Oz to lock the car because all their valuables are in there.

On a side note my parents told me I was conceived on the front bench seat of a Zephyr, not a clapped out one mind. :D

I assume he means the boot doesn't lock (independent of the car, no central-locking in those days), but after trying & failing to lock the driver's door a couple of times, he gives up anyway!

Also in the first episode Nev is right handed but it's that hand he's got bandaged after he said the saw slipped. Surely it would be his left he caught?!?

In 'The Accused' when Moxey and Bomb are in the pub, their pints keep refilling. Lucky buggers.
