Moxey's little dance

Noticed any 'Cock Up's' filming mistakes, continuity errors or something else?

Moxey's little dance

Post by Gary M » Tue Feb 12, 2013 12:26 am

I can't be the only one to spot this - in The Fugitive when they corner Colin in the storage hut, Moxey, standing on a pile of dirt, shouts "It's OK lads, we've gorr im!" then pulls some crazy move just before the scene cuts. What's all that about?

Watched it last night - you're dead right. I can only assume that, along with all his many other afflictions, Moxey is also an epileptic.

Just watched the scene but I dont see it ! I have the Box Video Set Series 1 & 2. The scene cuts just as he appears to step back but certainly no dance. Maybees he had been taking tap dancing lessons off Barry the Bearded Lady???

I haven't seen this yet.
I have the DVDs which are pretty much uncut, but I also have the ITunes versions, which are a bit iffy and have a few cuts to them, such as this dance I think, still have to check.

Also on the VHS videos, when Oz comes racing back in the hut when Kemal is chasing him with the knife (The Lovers), Moxey makes some really strange noises and you can see him clearly saying it, but on the DVD's and ITunes it is no longer there, only the VHS versions.....

Anyone else find this?

Chris Fairbank is definitely arsing about. It's out of character for Moxey.
There are other things he does, like playing cards at Barry's house where he says "that's the way it goes sometiiiimes". Also when they enter the porn cinema looking for Nev you hear several of the lads ask "in there?" one after the other, including CF - like there's an in-joke between the actors.

Ah I remember this now! From the days when I used to watch them on VHS. I can actually remember thinking that he was over-acting. I never took it as a dance. It was more like a Tom & Jerry kind of move. You know? When Tom runs on the spot when he sees Jerry drinking his milk. I've never noticed that it was missing from the DVD.

Strange how not everyone can see it. It is very brief - he kind of jumps up then waves his arms around, very bizarre. I seem to recall it's the same on the DVDs as on the VHS versions (why wouldn't it be?)

I wonder if the DVDs are like Wonka bars, and I have a golden ticket :D
