Least favourite lines

Post by HerrPfister » Sun Mar 02, 2014 10:12 am

Any lines that you'd like to see cut?

One that always gives me a bit of a chill is when they're sitting round the fire, discussing Moxey's new identity and who Brendan Mulcahy is/was; Oz says "Probably a dead man" and Wayne replies "I know how he feels". Given that Gary had passed on by the time the series went to air, I think it should have been cut out of respect. Anyone else feel the same?

Until you wrote that I'd never even considered it! The line in context of the scene makes perfect sense but now seems a bit eerie.

I reckon one of two things occurred at the time

1-No one spotted the significance.
2-Maybe his fiancée had been asked and she said it was ok to keep it in.

Gosh ! I hadnt looked at it that way to be honest. That scene will never be the same. The one line I cant stand is from Barry, commenting on Wayne's line, "Marbella, Marbella, yav got ya pick of ya Euro crumpet in Marbella." After Nev's self righteous line and Barry says Wayne has invented a new currency, "... wages for sex." That just played the character a little too simple/thick/daft for my liking loike !

I can't stand that line either. Especially the way the character says it.

Why aye, why aye : Dramatic pause, straight out of drama school; delivers line, cheeky nod in anticipation of the inevitable BAFTA. Makes me grind my teeth every time. :x

Neville is series 2 when he's at Sir James' house and talking to his wife about his daughter.

"I miss her, actually".

The word "actually" in that sentence just doesn't sit right with me for some reason.
