Cheers
Can you remember roughly where this part of the episode is, I don't remember this bit and think I might have nodded off while watching

Dennis is a true gentleman. He booked a twin room instead of the honeymoon suite with king size bed and mirrors on the ceiling.

What a funny episode this is, just watched it, not seen it for years. Gag after gag, Barry trashing his bike in the lake.

'Private Lives' for me has been and always will be my favourite episode of Auf Wiedersehen Pet.
Dont get me wrong, there's plenty of stiff competition all from season 1 and it's a brave move to leave Pat Roach out (Either because he was deliberately left out or he was away with other filming commitments?).
I loved the romance between Dennis and Dagmar and how the other's continually bugger it up.
A relatively quiet episode for Neville and Oz and yet there's still pieces of magic as Oz lusts after Dagmar much to Dennis's disgust.
Even Moxey get's a couple of gem. You sometimes have to wait for them but Chris Fairbank always delivers.
One of the great thing about Auf Pet is the partnerships and have they can be swapped around and still work. This week we have Wayne and Barry on the hunt in Dusseldorf and they are just incredible.
You have many top ten shows of comedy genius where it's Del Boy falling over in the bar from Only Fools and Horses but for me, the outdoor bar with Wayne and Barry and those two girl's is just sheer poetry of comedy timing with both actors playing off each other beautifully. My sides are always sore watching it, I still laugh thinking about it and I had the pleasure of sitting down again recently and watching it with my twelve year old daughter who was in stitches with it.
I'd love to have been a fly on the wall with the actors when they rehearsed these scenes for the first time, acting and playing it deadly serious cannot be easy. The music for it too must be applauded, particularly when Wayne and Barry are giving chase, brilliant.
A perfect episode that cannot be bettered in my opinion.

I think this is why it was voted best episode in the poll for the convention in 2013.. 'Cowboys' came second.. was brilliant watching it in a cinema also with other fans laughing at all the funny parts.. was a hell of an atmosphere to be in!

Just been reading this thread and came across "blimmer-gate"
Nobody seems to know what it means. I don't know but maybe as wayne thinks the man is offering him money it would probably be in return for some sexual favour with one of them? Maybe paying wayne to have sex with his wife while he watches?
Not sure myself, does anyone know what it means?

tried google but no joy.

'Blimmer' may be Blimper, which means voyeur or peeping Tom.
