When The Boat Goes Out

Post by Port Jack Chippy » Tue Jan 16, 2018 1:48 pm

Last episode has left me on a melancholic note.

I had a gut feeling Vera still had a firm grasp on Dennis despite the evidence on the contrary (Albert, divorce proceedings etc) his one chance in life to be happy is swept under a rug. Although I can understand the other lads frustrations of hiding everything to himself, running away from your problems never solves anything. I wish he would stay with Dagmar and fulfil his dream of a new life, but like he said "I'll put realism before bravery every time". Business before pleasure just like real life...

I'm glad Dennis is supposedly keeping in touch with her, considering her happiness. And it's nice to see Oz having a brave heart for the first time, can't wait to start the second series and see him develop : )

It's been said that "Marjorie doesn't live here anymore" is where Oz puts things in perspective, I'm sure that counts as development.
