Re: Anyone with other 80s/90s tv obsessions?
I came across 'Oh Doctor Beeching' recently, a series which must have completely passed me by in the mid 90's.
Full of actors who can't act, in my opinion, who have made a career from playing the same characters, but in different shows.
Paul Shane
Su Pollard
Jeffrey Holland
Stephen Lewis
and an appearance from Windsor Davies
I actually enjoyed it and wished more had been made.
Long live British sit coms, nothing like them anywhere else in the world.
My late husband - he was an engine driver, you know...

I've recently rediscovered Lovejoy. Really enjoyable series from a time when life just seemed so much simpler than nowadays.

I got into the show from May 2007 to January 2008 at first and then I got into it from February 2012 to July 2015 and why not?

Re: Anyone with other 80s/90s tv obsessions?
I have an obsessive personality, hence why I started all this AWP stuff. If I see an 80's TV Show DVD/BluRay in a charity shop (best place to look I guarantee) I buy it, whether I like it or not. I figure one day I can plow through them all. Bergerac I think is my latest purchase, it was only a few quid. Got Are You Being Served? many times in the charity shops, also into 90's stuff, Bugs, Class Act, Crime Traveler. I will buy it even if I have no idea what it's about, Crime Traveler was a real surprise to me, absolutely loved it, got the whole series for about £2 brand new.

Private Schulz(with Michael Elphick)- absolutely brilliant.
One Summer- from 1983- one of the best.
Game On.Butterflies(Wendy Craig, Geoffrey Palmer)Sink or Swim(probably largely forgotten, but brilliant). The Nanny(Wendy Craig). Yes Minister, Yes Prime Minister. To The Manor Born. All Creatures Great and Small(70'sand 80's).
The following are 70's, but all favourites- Man About The House, George and Mildred, Dads Army, On the Buses, Are You Being Served, In sickness and in health, The Professionals, The Sweeney, Survivors(absolute classic- left the remake for dead). Upstairs Downstairs. The Secret Army. The Good Life.
The list goes on and on.
Finest age of UK television.

The 1980s Scottish comedy City Lights, starring the late Gerard Kelly, is available on iPlayer. Be quick, it is only around for a short time.
Only series 1 is available at the moment. If you've never seen it, it's quite good. Kelly plays Willie Melvin, an aspiring writer who works in a bank.
