A couple of older program favourites was ... on the buses, first few series of LAst of the Summer Wine, When Frank Thornton came in and compo died it wasnt the same again... also liked the short lived 'Bless this house' sitcom too with Sid James... a recent one back on ITV3 now is 'Never the Twain' .. not my favourite by a few but watchable and both those chaps are still alive too.. Terry and June was another one.. thats just finished a couple of weeks back on DRAMA..

I'm looking at getting Stay Lucky.
It was filmed in Sowerby Bridge, a town I used to live in from being 11-12, so it's nice to wTch and spot the locations. Apparently one of the stars, no big guess really was quite hard work. A lad I used to work with, his mother lived in a house and they were filming next door. When she went to ask if she could have a picture, there answer was...."If you f**king must...."
Still doesn't put me off, I remember it being a great show, and will be purchased soon.

Tis a funny show for sure. The set up in the first episode where he goes to the AA meeting by mistake and then when he finds the 1-2-1 Club it's full of alkies who have made the same mistake as him

I liked In Sickness and in Health too.
Warren Mitchell was great in it.

I recently finished watching the Adrian Mole TV series based on the books which finally came out on DVD in the last couple of years.
It was very good, and there's a couple of Pet alumni in there; the Irish fella that sells Moxey his fake Irish papers is in it, and Marjorie is also in it.

Miami Vice. Loved the Ferrari Testarossa in the later series and remember it was on late on a Monday night each week.
The fourth series was a bit odd with Crockett losing his memory and becoming a drug dealing hitman. Great programme with some brilliant music, also a series where a lot of now famous actors had minor roles.

Loved that when I was at school. Didn't like Lulu as his mom though, preferred Julie Walters.Hallwood wrote:I recently finished watching the Adrian Mole TV series based on the books which finally came out on DVD in the last couple of years.

I wonder what happened to Adrian Mole? Don't think I've heard of him since. Can't remember his name.
