I'm a real ale man. Prefer dark malty ones, not really a fan of hoppy beers. I could recommend several, but it would be based on my taste rather than yours. The thing with real ale is that there's something out there for everyone, but you have to try them to see which are to your taste

You should go to the Bromsgrove beer festival, Hedley. Mind you they ran out of beer this year....

If you'd like the piss taken out of you, visit Australia and ask for a Fosters!

I had a bottle of Carling Cider the other night.
It was the 'Orchard Fruits' variety, but it didn't do anything for me, like eating chocolates with the papers on.
I like trying different flavours, but this was very bland and didn't taste like a 'wheelbarrow full of leather' as Jilly Goolden once said on 'Food and Drink'.

Used to be an ale man myself before flying out to Turkey. Since then, I've had to make do with Becks lager because of their limited range of beer. Then again, not a bad thing considering what the lads used to drink in Series 1.

When I lived in Spain, you could get this cider, but whey christ! It was so fizzy that it just bloated you instantly, and you spent half the neet belching!!

Cant stand any booze.. Was at the Barley mow the other night and the barman gave me something to try.. Weird cider flavour of Nettle and Blackcurrant i think it was.. Bloody disgusting... few nights before that he gave me a Strawberry and lime cider try.. Same verdict..

Yeah I like those American 'light' beers too - always bring back some Bud Light when I'm over there, really clean lager.
