Watching this back to back last nite from the early 80s. Sad i know but love this show. My uncle went on it once, lost the gamble, prize was a holiday somewhere exotic ish, then he got burgled and they robbed his bendy bully. What a shame .hahaha.

Those old Bullseye broadcasts are a hoot - the other day the non-dart player scored about 60 and when the so-called darts player had a go he hit a 1 and his second dart hit the wire and twanged out of the board

Also in one episode the 'non-dart player' was that Judith woman who went on to win ...Millionaire and is now on Eggheads.
Re: bullseye

I remember watching something similar. Can't remember what the first bloke got, but it was around 70-odd, then the darts player scored 9 - a five, then treble one and finally, oneMusta bin Elbowed wrote:Those old Bullseye broadcasts are a hoot - the other day the non-dart player scored about 60 and when the so-called darts player had a go he hit a 1 and his second dart hit the wire and twanged out of the board.

Re: bullseye
Similar.
Darts player could nail the 'Subject' board every time always going for bull and hitting about for in a row. Come to 'Normal' board where you get £X for whatever numbers you get and he kept getting like £4!!!
It was unbelievable I was screaming 'Go for the bull you dickhead!..'

Re: bullseye
I'd like to know how long the oche was on that show cos it looks a lot longer than usual when it comes to the final gamble - could just be camera angles but they look a lot further from the board than in usual darts.
Also saw one the other day when the non dart player hit two treble 20s with her first two darts. Game over!

Not when you consider it was up against Songs of Praise....
Re: bullseye
"Listen to Tony".
Tony never said anything...
And if he did, what would he say? "Throw the dart towards the board".

Not sure about the Oche but the board was too high, Think it was Eric Bristow who said that it was about half a foot higher than it should have been.

Re: bullseye
Rewatching the show again after so long. Why do they always get contestants in who have little to no personality?

Re: bullseye
I suppose. It does annoy me though, especially when the show started because it was nothing but bad dart playing, moustaches and no personalities.
