Very Strange that 'Nick Stringer' .. he was Tim Chatterley in awp so all normal there as its one character.. yet in open all hours he was 2 different characters.. chap with washing machines and the like, and a random customer in another episode.. and the same with OFAH.. he was Jumbo Mills... yet he played another Australian character who they sold the 'clapped out batmobile' to... i know he's has done 'Minder' too, as well as many other shows.. gets about a bit..

He was in that crap show Eldorado as well. He played an old perv called Bunny who got married to a seventeen year old girl, from what I can remember.

Bill Paterson and Michael Elphick both appeared in Smiley's People (1982). Elphick plays a Superintendent and Paterson plays a spy!

In Series 1 of 'The Detectives', which incidentally is available on Itunes for only 4 pund neenty neen, which is very reasonable....., you will see 'Bob' from Last Rites in the episode Studs. He is sat at the table when Briggs & Louis storm the offices of the Bloodstock Association of which Charlie Hungerford, yes the character from Bergerac who is holding a meeting, one of them in the meeting is 'Bob'....

Michael Elphick was, of course, Jimmy's dad in Quadrophenia. Medicine man from S3 was also in the final episode of Breaking Bad.
Morag Hood was also in Families (with Jude Law), in early 90s.

Further (albeit coincidental) Aufpet link - the character Ray Winstone played in Quadrophenia was a young lad who had quit the army cos he was sick of being pushed aroundBrown Eyed Boy wrote:Ray Winstone (Colin) not only appeared in the film "Quadrophenia"
