Desert Island Discs

Post by Auf Wiedersehen, Pet » Sun Dec 29, 2013 8:10 pm

Ant from er Ant and Dec chose 'That's Living Alright' as his 1st Desert Island Disc, listen again - http://t.co/DOhP6F4dfJ

Again, just shows how popular it still is, as if we needed proof!

Can't knock the choice like, just prefer it when it has just followed an episode

Great stuff!

And have you noticed the opening and closing track played on each ‘Desert Island Disc’ podcast is the very same track played following the ‘Breaking Away’ intro to Series 1, Episode 10, ‘Last Rites’ when Barry and Moxey are sunbathing!

Another link to The Pet... how ironic!

Erm - I think that's the point like. They used the DID theme tune while Barry and Moxey were sunbathing on a 'beach'. ;)

Erm - I know that like.... but do you think Kirsty Young, Ant, Dec or many Radio 4 listeners for that matter would have known the DID theme ('By the Sleepy Lagoon' by Eric Coates) was used for all of 20 seconds in Episode 10 of The Pet back in 1984?

A somewhat tenuous but ironic link given Ant's first choice; 'That's Living Alright'...
