Dream Series 5
If anyone could assemble a cast and storyline for a fifth series (never likely to happen, but we can dream!) what would it be? Well for starters it would be a back to basics UK based show, no more of this exotic globetrotting. Not sure of an exact storyline, but obviously would have the main 6 present (including Wyman). Characters I would LOVE to return are Ally Fraser and Dagmar. I reckon Barry could spot Dagmar on Facebook or something. Any ideas anyone??

Re: Dream Series 5
I think they would have to be in the middle of nowhere, and with nothing to do!
If you think about Germany, they had nothing to do, but 'get pissed' and do stuff to keep them occupied. In Derbyshire, they had nowt to do, were in the middle of nowhere, and only had the pub to 'get pissed in again' and annoy the locals.
Now, and I have said this many times, but some people don't like the newer series, and thats fine, but TV had and has changed, and the 3 new series had to reflect that. It had to be quicker, always something going on, or the modern viewer would get bored.....
Anyway, the lads would be on an Island, or similar up in Scotland, freezing, ploating doon all the time, and with only the local boozer for them to 'get pissed in'......

Civilian contract in a recovering war zone, would get good viewing with the countries renewed fondness of our forces, but for me a back to basics approach reflecting the countries own issues like series 1 and finding a means to an end, loving the Dagmar on facebook idea though! Could get back with Dennis!

Re: Dream Series 5
No no no... all wrong...
Have the lads contracted to a TV show that do up houses, Oz can always try it on with the lady presenter, and lads head out for a drink at the local wherever it may be, sort of like with Thornely, go to annoy Arthur when possible.. or if you want a series 1 related setting, then set them back in Germany for a while, WITHOUT villains.. it was so much better when Herr Ulrich and Grumwald were the only problems, along with MacGowan and whoever else..

Lastest image for Dagmar (Brigitte Kahn) is 1993 in 'The remains of the day' so you need to add 20 years to that, She has a little of that Helen Mirren thing going on.

Re: Dream Series 5
I like the ideas ! Would certainly have had the lads back in Germany, then in any desolate rubbish place ! working to a deadline, miles from anywhere ( too many sheep ! ) plenty of ale and a can of guinness for Brendan or Francis. Danny Dyer for another of Wayne's kids turning up ?
Ah well, that'll do for now like.
