Terry Leather?

Just wondered if anyone has seen that film, The Bank Job starring Jason Statham.
He plays a bank robber called Terry Leather and at the end it's shows him living in Spain.
Did Terry Leather actually exist?

Statham always plays the same type of character in most films.. makes a change for a name like that to come up..

I don't normally watch his stuff, hubby taped it one night, when he said " terry leather" we both screamed! I just wasn't sure whether he was made up character or real.

Tried watching this film, but just couldn't get into it. Turned it off after 40 mins.

im not alone there then.. films like the Mechanic and Crank 2 etc are all basically the same thing.. beat the crap out of many bad guys during 90 minutes.. with a weak storyline..
