Replace the Theme Tune.
Bit of a weird one I know but, let's just say the theme tune HAD to be replaced and you were in charge, what would you put in its place?
Can be beginning or end tune, doesn't matter. I've seen this done with other TV Themes to wonderful and sometimes just weird outcomes.
If we agree on one, I'll put it together and overlay the chosen tune with the start on whichever series.
For me, what first springs to mind is.....Minder Theme over the beginning credits of S1.
You can choose any song you like, could be ABBA or Iron Maiden, you choose.

Series two, The boys are back in town by thin lizzy, or is that a bit too obvious?

Re: Replace the Theme Tune.
And series one could be the theme tune to the royle family by oasis, don't know what it's called though

Half The World Away it's called.
I think you've cracked it Lou! That would be great over S1 credits at the beginning....

Or s1 maybe dire straits money for nothing. Think the guitar bit would work well.

The year might not be quite right, but Back in '79 by the Toy Dolls captures it quite well for me - the desire to recapture those lost carefree days when the lads were young and single

Re: Replace the Theme Tune.
Theres nothing as such i associate for it really.. all other songs (apart from other tv themes of course) are just songs.. i like the normal AWP songs because they are written specifically with the lads situation in mind.. Canny think of an alternate to use...
