AWP The Film

Post by Auf Wiedersehen, Pet » Sat Apr 08, 2017 12:39 pm

You might have seen about the gadgies taking the Breaking Bad episodes and squeezing it down into a film, so it got me thinking. I think I can squeeze S1 down into a film and make a whole new kind of story? It'll take some doing and input from you lot, but what ya think?

You'd have to start with the lads on the ferry I reckon, maybe up to arriving at the hut etc, Barry and Moxey need slotting in nice to make it work too.

90 minute version roughly.
Off ya gan.....

Would need to be 2 hours rather than 90 mins. Too much stuff to fit in. How one starts to edit down though ...

Thinking about it, to make it simple could do with skipping the lads arriving and rack in with the lads on site.

The film could be from Neville's point of view. When he reads that postcard in his head: Whoops just gone over a bump? Well imagine if you heard his private thoughts throughout the film like that programme 'The Wonder Years'? He had a dark side in some scenes that could be exposed in the narrative.

Ok, put it this way.
Is there any conversations featuring Neville where I could use his voice as a voiceover?

I kna what you're saying. But it's going to be predictable however you edit it. My angle would be... do a narrative over the scenes from one character's point of view - all written by the lads who write scripts on your fan fiction. It will be unpredictable and refreshing. Seriously, it'll be interesting! Just an idea anyway. :)

Another idea. Edit the 13 episodes down into a film but always make every scene relevant to a particular character rather than adding all the best bits. :) I'm just contributing ideas.

Can't there be a female remake instead or a movie where Dennis is kidnapped by Ally Fraser?
Oi oi, what's the word then
