As I was re-doing the list I was thinking "I'm sure Aubrey Woods has died". But couldn't find out anything. Then spookily, he has just died :(

Great actor. Been in loads of stuff i've watched. Couple that spring instantly to mind are Dr Who (in the brilliant Day of the Daleks) and as one half of an elderly gay couple in London's Burning who got their budgie stuck up a trombone!

Rest in peace, Aubrey.

Just realised he was the chemist (Mr Malik, I think) in Mrs Merton and Malcolm. Loved that. And he bopped along on the settee to Glenn Miller :)

aubrey woods played parts in doctor who over the years. he played jacob in the 1991 production of joseph and the amazing technicolor dreamcoat at the palladium with phillip schofield but was better known as the shop keeper
who sold charlie bucket the bar of chocolate with the golden ticket and sang 'the candy man can' in the original willy wonka film.

he also sold porn films to oz and gave oz, moxy and barry a freeview of 'lesbian lust'...

R.I.P. Aubrey..........
Adult..and liable to cause offence.
