How Old Are You?

On Twitter and the Facebook Page, I get all kinds of people, from all over the world asking questions, and commenting on the show. I would like to know what the demographic of ages is on here? Are you a young bairn, who got into Auf Wiedersehen, Pet because of the revamp in 2002, or are you old school from 83 and 86?

I will kick it off!

First watched 1995 when channel 4 repeated series 1&2

43 - remember as a 13yr old just getting in for the last ten mins of ep 1, we didnt have a video so I watched it at a mates the next night. Made sure I was always back in for five to nine each week after that.

Was different with series 2 as we had a video so my friday neet doon the bigg market as an underage drinker wasnt affected.

Tracy 54. Watching since 1983. The wife [2nd] cant stand it but has picked up the lingo without even knowing it. For example, "You call me Pet one more time and I'll aim for you Tracy, I'll aim for you !" Me ? I took a left !!!

All I remember was my Mother telling me that Gary was dead!
I was devastated as I had a cousin that I've never met called Gary, my Mother told me an hour later she meant Gary from Pet!

40 in November, so you can work out I was 10 when Pet first aired. I do have a vague recollection of some early episodes but in truth I didn't really understand it and as a southerner, the Geordie accent was totally beyond me. Particularly remember some of the funny bits (like Oz putting his foot in the paint) making me laugh out load though.

And then, series 2, I was hooked all the way through and the rest, as they say, is history.

I cn even understnd tha Geordies now, though but! Champion!

32. Think it must have been the 1995 repeats that got me into it. Have worn out many VHS videos since.
