34.

I remember two scenes from s2 on original broadcast: The lads' arses in the swimming pool (didn't change my lifestyle in later life tho) :) . Also remember the chinese restaurant in Hasta La Vista when Moxey comes back. 'Cause I asked my dad which one had died and he pointed at Wayne in the bottom left hand corner :(

Think I saw a couple of the C4 repeats, and got the series 1 vids for Xmas not soon after. Never looked back :D

44, and as a 15 year old in 1983 I never used to turn out on a Freeder net, so I've seen every episode as it aired I believe.

41. I only remember seeing odd bits of series 1 the first time around. I remember watching Series 2 though, and going out and buying the Fred Taylor books.

I left home at 18, bought my first video recorder and bought the Series 1 videos - there were two episodes per tape. Then bought all the Series 2 videos and would just watch them the whole way through over and over again.

Eventually they all wore out and got replaced by dvds. Once I got married though I had to cut down on how often I watched them

Luke 32
I can remember watching episodes of the second series as a kid, as my Dad was a massive fan. Started getting into them properly when I was about 18 or 19 and remember being particularly excited for the third series.
When I discuss AWP with my mates it's Always the first two series we refer to as they're so quote-worthy and the characters are at an age we can actually relate to now.
My younger brother (he's 27) and a few of our friends who are also his age like AWP as much as I do. I would say that it appeals to most north east males from a working class background regardless of age as its so easy to say "I know someone like Dennis" or Oz, or whoever.
I think it was so easy for me to fall into because my Dad and I were huge Jimmy Nail fans in the 80s and 90s even though I was still young. I remember watching Spender, and even appearing very briefly on an episode as an extra. I was part of the crowd walking into St James' park for a match, and Spender was seen chatting in the foreground.
But anyway, back to AWP and I would say that it's the genius of the first two series that has me hooked. Yeah, I'll watch the third, forth, and special every now and again but it's doesn't have the raw spark of the first two. The characters are more enjoyable, more exciting and funnier at a younger age.

Garreth 45. Watched it from day one! Used to football train with Kevin Carr (ex toon keeper), and he'd finish training early so we could all run home to catch the start!!
