Talking Pet In Real Life

Post by peng50 » Tue Apr 16, 2013 9:36 am

Must admit for years I've always uttered those famous words "I'm Home Pet"
whenever I walked through the front door.

Also made the Oz Whoo Hoo Hoo noise as I've jumped in the swimming pool
with the kids on Holidays

Said Donkey Shite to me mates who are into the show, instead of thank you
whenever I'm with them.

My mrs would always used to ask me before I left for work, what I fancied for tea that
night and I'd always reply "Every day... you ask the same daft question... it's
8 o'clock in the morning man... can we not just get through the day before we start
thinking about the night" She doesn't ask aymore :D

Same here. :D My missus thinks I'm loony, keep saying,'I'm home pet,' and 'Reet than' and 'I'm gan te graft.'
Me and my brother when we text it's always related to AWP talk, and half the texts are quotes from shows.

I always say "what's the word then"
"catch you later"
and when picking up the phone "hello intercontinental" in Oz's voice!

Always 'Ta-ra for a bit' in a Brummie accent (i'm not a Brummie) when taking my leave of somebody. A fair number of people look bemused...

I would love have a mate named after one of the lads.
I have worked with loads of people, and not one of them has ever had a characters name.
I did actually kind of work with a Dennis, but not once did he ask if I wanted a cup of tea, just so I could reply......"I don't want anymore to drink Dennis!!....."

I've often replied to the "slept like a log" line from someone with Dennis' "woke up in the fireplace eh?".

Or recently responding to a message about a poker night "aye, you can c-c-c-count me in!" in the words of Moxey - totally lost on a non-AWP fan.

I remember reeling out the line 'Arrrrrrrrrrr who's been at that!' the other day.

Sadly I didn't get the 'Who's been at what' response :-(

In a situation where toast or a sandwich was offered (either ready made or not) My AWP fanatic made would ALWAYS remark

"C-couldabeenatdabreadyaknow. Da rat" in his best scouse accent

Every Monday morning when I lock me door at 6am and start walking to work, I whisper down the terrace:

"Oh, I hates Mondays. No Money, whole week ahead of us....."

Doesn't it annoy when you set somebody up for a 'Pet' line, and they don't leap straight in.
