In Series 1, Episode 2, Oz says he's been there for three weeks, just before his altercation with the German scaffolders.

I don't know if that is useful information. I suppose it tells us that three weeks have passed between the first and second episodes.

Also in episode 3, it's still light when they are waiting for Herr Pfister at ten to six, then it's dark when they're in the hut. That might indicate what time of year it is.

Right! So I’ve been bringing this up 5 years later and it’s still a hot topic of debate.

On the poll most opted for 6 months to 1 Year, when according to the S1 press pack it was based in 79/80

What does it mean?
Hey Lee. What's this about a poll 6-12 months?

Bomber's daughter asks Wayne if he likes Kim Wilde, and she didn't have her first hit until 1981.

Not if it's set in 1979-80, as the press pack said.

This can be wrapped up now.
In the final episode of S1, Wayne tells Barry that they’ve been here for 6 months. Kevin Keegan signed for Newcastle according to the media on July 1st 1982, making his debut at the end of August when the season commenced.

Let’s give it a few days for the papers to arrive, so Oz was in Hospital July 3rd 1982. The lads arrived in Düsseldorf Monday, January 3, 1983.

I’m open to discussion or corrections.

Wouldn't that be strange for Sunderland to be playing a friendly about February then?

I doubt Dennis and Vera would have taken the bairns out rowing just around Christmas time just before Dennis left. It would have been freezing.
