Auf Wiedersehen, Pet and EastEnders links.
Seeing as the church from Last Rites was on EastEnders tonight, it made me think of all the links between the 2 shows. I have compiled a list below, and if you have anything to add feel free.....
1. Beco Building Site from series 1 is now home to EastEnders outside Walford set.
2. St James Church, High St, Bushey, Hertfordshire used in EastEnders and Last Rites from Series 1.
3. Michael Elphick starred as McGowan in AWP and as Harry Slater in EE.
4. Nejdet Salih starred as an extra in AWP and as Ali Osman in EE.
5. Su Elliot starred as Marjorie in AWP and as Pearl in EE.
I'm sure there is more, just can't think of any right now. If you add them below, I will add them to the list.

Now if Grange Hill was also part of this (filmed at elstree) you could have
Michael Sheard who played Herr Grunwald and Mr Bronson

Never knew that, to be honest i remember saying somewhere on the forum i could of seen him in eastendersin the 80s.
Mind you, would he of thought it was below him after the success of pet?
When did eastenders start? mid 85?

Nick and Dot Cotton first apperared a few months after it launched, so if Gary did get offered it then it would of conflicted with Pet filming.

Wonder how history would have been different if he took the part. Ironically John Altman who played Nick Cotton was in Quadrophenia with Gary and Tim, albeit in different scenes.dan slider wrote:Nick and Dot Cotton first apperared a few months after it launched, so if Gary did get offered it then it would of conflicted with Pet filming.

A bit of a tenuous link and not sure if it will count, but Joel Beckett played Jake Moon on EastEnders and he also starred in the film Green Street which also starred Rafe Spall who is of course the son of Tim.
