he was an excellent bloke, happily talked to my camera with no bother whatsoever, and coming back from the cinema he chatted with me for a while, and advised about NYC when I go soon., later on he looked VERY closely at the rear of my AWP DVD box set, because apparently he wasn't always named on it.. He was on my one

Before I get on to the night, I must mention the afternoon cinema showing.... Never did I ever see myself sitting in a darkened room in the middle of Newcastle watching the best episode ever on a Big screen with so many people. It was a great experience, and it's brilliant to hear everyone laughing At the bits you've always found funny yourself and never tire of laughing at... It was A perfect appetiser for the main course that evening.

Looking back now, the brickies banquet itself reminded me of a whole series of Auf Pet.... It had Plenty of highs and lots of funny moments, And also there were times full of emotion and also sad and moving parts, especially when Gary and Pat were remembered.

A truly memorable night which will never be forgotten - The cast had time for everyone and one incident said it all for me... While I was getting Tim to sign a few things, someone came up to the guy standing behind him to see how much longer the top table would be sitting there as the staff wanted to clear the room. Tim heard this and turned round and said "we'll be here as long as it takes for everyone to get the pictures and autographs they are after... That's what we're here for"

A massive thanks to everyone that made it all possible, and for all the effort that was put into making it such a great night... Just one thing I'd like to ask Lee though - the video being played in the reception area of the layout of the building site and where certain scenes were filmed etc... Any chance we can get hold of it and Get it put on the website ? A fantastic piece of film, which deserves a place on here.

Luckily I got sat next to Peng at the screening. He was a right gentleman. Although not to his missus. He had the hotel key card with him, meaning she couldn't turn the 'leccy on back in the hotel room

Sounds like it was a great weekend. Wish I could have made it, I still have my tickets for the screening in my wallet......long story short my brother in law dropped me right in it and I couldn't make it. I did hear (I think it was Lee) on the radio Saturday morning though promoting it. I'm looking forward to seeing everyone's photos when they get put on the site.

Slightly off topic but a recorded interview with Jimmy Nail is on North East News tonight at 6pm with Sting.

Good to hear that about what Tim Healy said, what a top bloke.

I saw a few pictures on Twitter over the weekend; if they were to remake series 2 tomorrow, Lesley Saint John could easily reprise her role as Vicky, she hasn't changed a bit.
