There are some great episodes in Series 1, 'If I Were A Carpenter' and 'Private Lives' are some of the best in my opinion.....

I really love 'Private Lives' I do think its the best piece of television, with Barry and Wayne playing it perfectly, its just a real great piece of TV.

When you think of the storyline, it sounds a bit farcical, and 'Benny Hill like' but when its played out on screen, the whole Hotel Intercontinental scene, its utter brilliance....

Gary and Tim jumped off the roof onto old mattresses according to Shane Spall on Twitter.....

Private Lives is my favourite episode for series 1. "What dee you mean how fatal? Fatal? Fatal's fatal, isn't it. Fatal, you're like, you're like dead aren't you?"

Have to make 1 and 2 a dead-heat. But because there needs to be a winner, in Speedway terms, series 2 wins the run-off. Certainly I find more characters to warm to in series 2, Harry the plumber is FAB ! And "CAROLL !!!" In series 1, McGowan would be my favourite outsider. "Eh ?!!!" Well Ive had a bit of time to think about it, so it cant be the drink! Mind, I could have said Christa and not felt a pratt about it. In series 2, I found Kenny to be such a loveable rogue and Vicki, without upsetting the Status Quo.
The following series were just a bit of fun and I loved every minute, well almost but they were 3 points down the field.
Just last week, I was at the local market [car boot] where my wife raises money for her cattery. [ I call it Pussy Palace ] One of her friends saw me and said she knew of a woman who fancied me. [???] I replied, "Another woman in my life would be the LAST thing I need !" My wife said, "The only true love in his life is Auf Wiedersehen Pet !!!"

For me, series 2 just shades it over the first. I think it's because 2 is a more complete package and time doesn't have to be spent setting up the characters. I also like the fact that the lads are more foreign in sleepy Derbyshire than they ever were in Germany; I do think that the series loses momentum when they get to Spain, but the quality of what's gone before more than makes up for it.

1 and 2 r the best. I think they ruined oz in the new ones, should have kept him as before, the crude fellow with the hole in his teeth, as Pringle said!

Series 1 is the best series (but the spell of episodes in Thornley manor and Tyneside, series 2, is the best spell).
