Hello pet from Aberdeen (and its not Fergie)
Hi there I was so happy to find this site and also question why I have never found it before. I am 37 years old and my first memory of Auf Weidersehen Pet is my mum watching it and being a huge fan and seeing her Auf Weidersehen Pet books laying around.
As soon as I was old enough I am unsure what year I watched the repeats of series 1 shown on a Saturday night and became an instant fan. Never missing an episode of and then series 2 when it was shown, I proved my love when I visited my uncle in Newcastle whom as a boy from suffolk I struggled to understand previously but I was now fluent in geordie.
I purchased all of series 1 & 2 separate on DVD and after late shifts they were my nightly viewing, but then bought the box set and treated my Mum to my DVD set. Fast forward to me meeting my wife I tried to coax her into watching it but half way through If I Were A Carpenter she said she could not get into it like me and it was turned off. Fast forward again 5 years and after much begging we tried again and by Series 2 she loved it and we stayed up late every night with just one last episode and as they pulled out the picture in the last scene of Series 5 she shed a tear and said it was like saying goodbye to great friends. I was so happy I was dancing, best show ever written!!

Welcome Helmut.
So let me get this right. Early on in the marriage, your lass wanted to get you into the sack early as. Now a few years on she's doing whatever it takes not to. Hmmm. I cannae work that out like. Who would have thought it eh?
Never mind son. Pull up a bed. We except all sorts in here.
