Great to find this site

I've been a fan of the series since it was first aired back in 1983 and I've just started watching the reruns of the first series on the Yesterday Channel. It must be the first time in years that I have watched them but they still make me laugh and bring back some good memories from that era. One thing I have noticed with the reruns is that they appear to have cut quite a few lines/scenes from the original or is it my memory playing tricks?
Cheers,
Mark

Welcome. You're right, they have cut a lot out of the show when they repeat it on Yesterday, mainly for timing but also for a bit of bad language and other things which were acceptable in the 80s, but not now. Your best bet is to get the DVDs.

Hey Mark, how come Cumbria isn't on yer flag son?
Cumbria was traditionally Brythonic in culture as well ya naa.
Mind you, spoken Cumbric only survived until approximately the 12th century, but still, what a bloody cheek!!
Bet Barry would know.................
