Dark side of Neville.
I've always found Neville's hand reaction strange after Wayne calls his local beer 'Sheep Dip'. He raises his hand as if he's saying: "I'll smack you". (Should he really care?) Then it happens again in the last episode when Wayne says: "The advantage of being a chippie is that you don't have to work in the hot sun all day". Neville raises his hand at Wayne again. Hardly an insult. So what would happen if Wayne really did insult Neville? Would Neville stick a knife in Wayne's throat? There does seem to be a dark side of Neville. We can all remember when Neville beat up one of Ali's heavies, hit a metal door and threatened to kill Oz just because he told Brenda that he'd been in a bit of bother. Conclusion: I think Neville is a psychopath.

Re: Dark side of Neville.
A lot of people say they found him to be creepy on the Facebook page a while back....
In 'Suspicion' hes creepy to Ingrid and to Lorraine in Series 3, licking his lips....and the Hooker in Arizona...
Conclusion: Loves boliers.

He is such a walk over that when the situation arrises he shows an evil side

Hey thats a canny jumper man!
Re: Dark side of Neville.
Maybe they should make a spin-off with just Neville. The story could be that he now lives with his mother in a grim-looking house overlooking a motel that he also owns. The guests overhears Neville arguing with his unseen mother about his supposed sexual interests. It could be a classic!!

Re: Dark side of Neville.
He might have been getting all of his anger out of Ally Fraser's heavy....He didn't half give him a whack in the guts!

Re: Dark side of Neville.
There is this other thing about Neville that always fascinates me. In series one, every time he's happy, content or in a kind mood, he always does this thing with his lips. It's very hard to explain because I don't think there is a word for it, but his lips goes tight in the same way that Stan Laurel smiles. He rarely does it in series 2 and it's gone altogether in series 3 and 4. I know that I won't be the only one who's noticed this.

Re: Dark side of Neville.
Good heavens, must check that out. What I do know is that Neville is just one of millions with a female co-dependancy brought on by millions of circumstances, mostly by experiences in childhood. We know his dad died when he was young and he had to get to graft to help his mum. He and Brenda are like co-joined twins [?] so when he leaves for Germany, half his soul stays in Newcastle. Nothing changes in the whole lots of series. Having only daughters cements [good joke that, pun like !] his life long situation. How do I know all this? [pigging garbage] I took a sheet metal course !!!

Re: Dark side of Neville.
I think Neville as a character is just like anyone else, everyone gets angry or P'd off once in a while for some reason..
