Scenes you don't like watching?
In If I Were A Carpenter when Neville is scraping the porno pictures off the locker and scrapes his finger nails down the metal door, that I cannot stand! It makes me feel I'll, I'm not a fan of metal scraping of any kind, even typing this makes me feel queasy!

Another scene with Neville.
When he is talking with Helmuts father, find that scene goes on for 3 minutes too long.

Totally agree, a scene I very rarely watch. I'm also not keen on the scene where those 2 coppers talking to Hallwood. Especially that young 'un, cringeworthy acting.
Shut ya yak will ya man, you snivelling little git.

But it is worth watching for Hallwoods brilliant line 'You've come an awful long way...'

Agreed. I don't think I've watched that bit without my trigger-finger on the 'mute' button for about 10yrs!Auf Wiedersehen, Pet wrote:In If I Were A Carpenter when Neville is scraping the porno pictures off the locker and scrapes his finger nails down the metal door, that I cannot stand! Personally that scene gets me down a little, having worked away I know the feeling of your first night away in unfamiliar surroundingsAuf Wiedersehen, Pet wrote:In If I Were A Carpenter when Neville is scraping the porno pictures off the locker and scrapes his finger nails down the metal door, that I cannot stand! Yes, the sinking of the Sharnhorst [?] always gets fastforward as does Den's "its the bairns" speech to Dagmar by the Rhine. In Series 2, its Barry's speech to an imaginary Hazel before the real Hazel comes in with a cuppa.

^^ All those, and the scenes with Hedley if I'm in the mood to just 'get on with it'. Sounds shameful really that we would f/f through scenes in The Greatest TV Show Ever but I guess when you know what's what there's no harm in saving time to cut to the chase. In my own defence, there are far more scenes that I usually rewind once or twice to watch again every time - the fight in Cowboys, Barry and Wayne on the bike (you friggin radish Barry!), Oz chinning Big Baz, the Tiger Tape, Nev's intervention in series 4 are a few.
I usually f/f through Barry at the conference too

Re: Scenes you don't like watching?
I tend not to fast-forward any of it. It's sacreligious! Rather, I see any 'lesser' moments as a chance to empty my bladder, or fetch another cold one....
Barry at the conference is one of my favourite bits,! ( as,indeed, is Bikini Brenda
