Maybe this should be in the 'Scene Cut?' section but I find this rather strange; Bomber, Wayne and Oz pull into the Marbella Club. Wayne's quote gets us started. So after Oz's altercation with Colonel Blimp, Ally and Vicki try to sneak out. But 'Pepe' stops them and says, "Your friend by the pool. He has ordered Champagne, whos paying?" Ally thumbs over and the scene is cut. How did 'Pepe' know that Wayne was with Bomber and Oz? I believe these scenes were done in England after Gary's death so that explains his absence but would it not have been better to have had Wayne [lookalike] see through the window and spy Ally with Vicki? 'Pepe' could have gone outside while Colonel Blimp was harrassing the lads and thats when Wayne could have ordered the plonk, "Just put it on Fraser's account mate!" So when 'Pepe' later asks "whose paying?", we could have seen a shot of Wayne [lookalike] lounging by the pool with his arms around two blonde boilers, preferably topless !!! Yup for it ???

Loads of questions and points could be asked about any of the indoor scenes after Gary's passing.. i think they had to come up with stuff quick to save the series, so what we got was how they did it, just faster than normal..

most scenes with Wayne missing was alway hard, thats why they used an excuse for his whereabouts. I must admit that sometimes i didnt think it was needed, until they mentioned him i forgot he wasnt in the scene to begin with.

I reckon they would of tried to use the double quite a few times and found it unconvincing. Gary Holton had a unique appearance. But I'm more than impressed how they did finally edited and completed the series.

A few months ago I read Fred Taylor's book from the second series which is based on an early version of the script. From memory I think this scene is addressed. I remember something about Wayne asking Vicki if the lads are good enough to be scene in the Marbella club with her?

Yes it does say that Geordie, i think the only double shot used in the casino is when bomber carriers him out. Which is pretty much imposible to know
