Re: DVD disappointment
It would be nice if Ian, Dick and Stan could be persuaded to sit down with a few tinnies and do a more prepared and insightful commentary on more S1 & 2 episodes if not all. Ian and Dick were totally unprepared on IIWAC and Scoop - what a waste.

Re: DVD disappointment
I third it. They seemed to know less than mostof the people on this site (or at least remember less). Commentary with some of the cast would be welcomed too.

Re: DVD disappointment
It was pretty awful the commentary wasn't it? I was surprised by how little thought had gone into it. I'm sure at one point one of them sneezes as well!Ally Frasers clubs wrote:Yeah thats right by Ian and Dick and to be honest they couldn't remember much!Auf Wiedersehen, Pet wrote:I think its, 'If I Were a Carpenter' and 'Scoop'....

Re: DVD disappointment
It's a shame the DVDs don't have more extras on them surely they could at least do a documentary on the covering at least the original series

Re: DVD disappointment
Just to get another moan in about the comentaries, In Scoop they were saying I wonder if the Kev Whatley and Madelaine Newton met in the making of the series and later realised obviously not when remembering that Debs was their real daughter. Amazing

Re: DVD disappointment
It did sound like they didn't really want to do it, and they were ill-prepared.
And they didn't seem to remember much about the making of the programme, but to be fair, as the writers they probably wouldn't have been too heavily involved in the filming.

Re: DVD disappointment
True, but they could have talked at length about how they developed the characters and the storylines. And I believe they had a hand in casting the main actors.Halwood wrote:And they didn't seem to remember much about the making of the programme, but to be fair, as the writers they probably wouldn't have been too heavily involved in the filming.
