The ninth and final series will be on sometime before the end of this year. A major character is to be killed off, that's all I know so far.

The last ever episode is on this week. Thursday, I think. Followed by a retrospective documentary called That's Plenty.
I can't say the final series has been a classic. It's been very predictable and repetitive, in my opinion.

I agree it never reached the heights that it has in previous series so maybe it was time to say goodbye. I did like the way they finished it though. I'll miss me old pals.

Presumably the upcoming stage show isn't set after the last episode, or it'll be a very short show.
