Fuentes the Spanish cop

Just wondered why Oz never noticed that the Cuban ballet dancer he fell in love with in series 4 had a grandfather who bore a striking resemblance to the Spanish copper he drank a glass of fizz with in Ally's flat after scooping the Spanish lottery, back in 86 :D

Re: Series 3 - Not Watched In A While

I've spent the last few Friday afternoons with some cans of beer watching all the series from the first all the way through. I was going to call it a day at the end of series 2 as I didn't really enjoy the resurrected version of the show from the early 2000s. Anyway, I thought I'd give the 1st episo...

Friday Afternoon Once Again

Well, it's Friday again which means a glass of whisky, a bowl of dry roasted & Auf Pet on the telly. Watching Marjorie Doesn't Live Here Any More, then might have to catch the next one :P>

Any thoughts on the new episode of Porridge?

Last night I watched the new episode of Porridge based around Fletcher's grandson, also known as Fletch. Aside from Auf Wiedersehen Pet, Porridge has to be one of my all time favourite TV shows. So I was a bit anxious that this new incarnation wouldn't measure up. Needn't have worried, though... Cle...

Re: Auf Pet actors in other TV shows.

Apologies if anybody else has already mentioned this, but I think I remember Jimmy Nail playing an Irish Gypsy in an episode of Minder.

Re: Drinks - What's Yours?

A mate of mine has a pub in the Yorkshire Dales & he serves a cracking pint called Guzzler from The Pennine Brewery... not all that strong, but a lovely flavour. When I'm at home, though, I just stick to the cooking lager... Galahad from Aldi. All lager tastes identical, so I just go with the cheape...

Re: favourite character

For sheer comedic value, I would have to say Oz. He reminds me of Terry Collier from The Likely Lads, another classic Clement/LaFrenais show.

Re: The Fugitive

Great episode. I'd forgotten it was Ray Winstone playing the part of Colin.

Greettings From Smoggy Country

Hello Chaps, Just a quick word to introduce myself. My name is John & I'm from Teesside. I'm sadly old enough to remember the first series of Auf Wiedersehen Pet back in 83/84. I was 17 and it was the highlight of a Friday night seeing the best show on the telly. Of course we'd had other Clement & L...
