Things that make you go hmmm

A couple of things that have always sprung to mind are:

Has anyone considered the actual route which Barry took to get to Jeddah on "old-faithful"? Bearing in mind that this was the peak of the cold-war, didn't think you could simply breeze through all those communist bloc borders. Also, geographically, it's hell of a journey by bike. Hell of a ride across Syria / Iraq and Saudi in that heat, the sheer distance is immense!

Referring to the Hut fire, can't really believe that cagey old Dennis would go to the length of explaining the exact address of Dagmar's mothers apartment. Can't think of any other way the lads would know where she lived. Don't think Ullrich would have said anything, bit too much of a jobsworth.

I'll think of some more I'm sure !!

Poor old Barry. Am I correct in think Barry gets his collar felt in every series ?
AWP 1 arrest for vagrancy
AWP 2 DUI / convicted and banned
AWP 3 drug Smuggling
Awp 4 arrest for being under the influence of voodoo

Impersonating a sales rep. for the Erasmus mk.II must be a very serious offence. He was well lucky to get away with that one.

Yes indeed and how come no-one picked up that he wasnt wearing a name tag? And I wonder if his van was towed after he parked it right outside the main doors on the yellow lines ?! [ that is illegal here, same in UK ? ] It really is one of may favourite scenes, " B B B Barry, Barry Taylor. By rights I shouldnt be here." "Cause I dont work for yeer lot !"

First the saw slips, then he punches the locker door, then he gets put inside for nowt, finally McGowan beats him up! All in series 1! No wonder he's like death warmed up

Poor Nev? Taking on Big Mac ?! Did he ask for that or what ?! Maybees Im a bit harsh. Hey uuummm, sorry if this ones been delt with elsewhere but can anyone tell me; Series 1, Private Lives, Wayne and Barry on the pull. They chat up the Swedish flight attendants in the taxi roight, but when does Wayne give his name? So later in the bar at the Intercontinental, when Oz makes the prank call, he is not at all surprised when the Bell Boy has the sign 'Mr Norris', and says, "Mr Norris, telephone for you please." Is it a blooper or am I seeking too much information here ?!!! "Keepin zee changen."

Yes, that always bothered me but I guess they were so consumed by lust it never occurred to them that they hadn't given names.

More bothersome in the co-incidence stakes is the random room number that Oz picks happens to be, not only on Dennis' floor, but 3 doors down from his room! It was a big hotel too...

Doesn't detract from the episode, though. Still my favourite in series 1.

The whole story line was brilliant. Oz's prank sending them to the same floor as Dennis, the look on his face !!! And when they did get to their rendezvous room, it was occupied by a young, good looking couple in the middle of a game of chess. [reminds me of Ally and Vicky.] "They think we're muggers." The Butch and Sundance jump, ever so silly but what comedy, and thats why it works so well. Gosh, doesnt every episode ?!!!
