30 years ago tonight at 9pm, the ninth episode of Auf Wiedersehen, Pet aired on ITV, 'The Alien'.

This episode saw the return of McGowan, the hard as nails brickie down on his luck and nursing a bad head in a German jail. When Herr Grunwald tells the lads they either look after him or 'ship out', it falls on the 7 to bail him out, and with Oz letting him bed down without consulting the other lads, its not all fun and games.
