I would like to see a series where Barry managed to create a time machine being a sparky and all. The lads all go back in time to Dusseldorf and remake each episode with them as they are now, with some similarities and differences written by the original writers, like why they stayed in their jobs so long, similar work clothes etc. could be a very inventive story changes and script in there. Fans of the original would be super greatful of something like that I think.

It would be TV series of the decade, we would be waiting in anticipation.

Would be tricky to do it well... but I think good writers could come up with something good for each remake of each episode, different outcomes from the situations that arise and make a new series with a manipulated original stories with different outcomes.

Problem is the actors. They're all way too old now to pull it off. They'd have to recast younger actors, and when you think that people have previously suggested Noel Fielding for Wayne I think it's probably best to leave well alone.

I think all of the actors could still do it, those who are still with us.. if all fed and watered well ! They can still be supping the schnapps and getting old disgracefully.

Of course we would accept it for what it is, we had the new series some years back when they reunited and this would just be a remake of what went before.

Maybe it is just my wishful thinking... as Dagmar said to Wayne..... "I would not live in hope"
