Caroline Hutchison Letter To Fan
Caroline Hutchison who played Vera Patterson in Series 1, and was too ill to play Vera in Series 2 wrote this letter to a fan in 1982. Although this letter is not written to or about about Auf Wiedersehen, Pet seeing as it’s dated 1982, that would be impossible as Pet hadn’t even aired yet. Still this letter is a great piece of history and features Caroline’s signature. Many fans know that Caroline was billed to play Vera in Series 2 but was too ill to do so, so many scenes which were filmed in Series 2 are dubbed over with ‘Norma’ as Norma was brought in to replace Vera’s scenes.
