Filming Locations Series 2
Series
2
is
the
largest
collection
of
locations,
mostly
down
to
the
fact
that
many
of
the
locations
are
in
the
Midlands.
Series
2
was
based
at
Central
Television
Studios
at
Lenton
Lane,
Nottingham.
The
location
scouts
didn’t
have
to
travel
very
far
to
find
a
wide
range
of
locations
they
could
use
for
Series
2.
Newcastle
locations
on
screen
were
mostly
filmed
in
the
Nottinghamshire
area, except for those needed to make sure that Newcastle landmarks were in the shots.

TV Listing - TV Times February 15th 1986
The first episode of Series 2, was mainly shot on location in Nottingham, with
Barry’s house in Wolverhampton on screen, also being in Nottingham. The scene
featuring Oz and Barry in The Falklands was filmed in Derbyshire somewhere,
according to director Roger Bamford and Central Crew member Colin Russell.

The second episode of Series 2, and filmed once again in many of the same areas
as episode 1. This episodes does feature a couple of locations set in Newcastle
and actually filmed in Newcastle.
Locations - Trowell Services on the M1 and Caunton, Nottinghamshire.

The lads are off on their greatest adventure in deepest Derbyshire. Strangely,
Derbyshire only featured a couple of times during Series 2. This episode features
some of the most memorable buildings including Thornely Manor, The Cross Keys
and The Barley Mow.

The very picturesque village of Knipton features in this episode, as well as the
Clifton Bridge Roadside Cafe, which until early 2015 was still standing. Sadly that
has now been demolished, but we have a full location video featuring the interior
and exterior, when it was open, closed and during the demolition.
Locations - Woolsthorpe, Redmile, West Bridgford and Stanford on Soar.

This episode from Series 2 is a fan favourite for many reasons, and features many
locations you can still visit today. The ASDA in West Bridgford is still there, St
Peters Church in Redmile and St John The Baptist Church in Stanford on Soar.

few months to find, but we got there eventually!

Many of the location shots were filmed in Newcastle, except for a couple filmed in
Beeston and Oz’s flat which was both Newcastle and Nottinghamshire.

the lads head off to to grab some designer gear before heading off to the sun!

The lads are off to Spain, and we get lots of locations dotted around the Costa Del
Sol. From Fuengirola to Istan and Puerto Banus and of course Marbella!

The lads have spare time on their hands and head off! Many of the locations were
filmed in and just on the outskirts of Marbella.
