Auf Wiedersehen Pet 40th Anniversary

Cinema Screening – ‘If I Were A Carpenter’

The team behind the Official Auf Wiedersehen Pet Fan Site are incredibly proud to announce the first of our 40th Anniversary Celebrations in association with The Sunday for Sammy Trust and FACT.

On Saturday 11th November 2023, we’ll be screening the

very first Auf Wiedersehen, Pet episode, ‘If I Were A

Carpenter’, at The Tyneside Cinema in the heart of

Newcastle City Centre. Forty years on, screening of this

classic episode will coincide with the first ever broadcast

of television’s award- winning no.1 comedy drama series

back in 1983 when our three Geordie legends Dennis

Patterson (Tim Healy), Neville Hope (Kevin Whately) and

Oz Osborne (Jimmy Nail) leave Blighty in search of a

better future. And so, their adventures began...

Proceeds from the event will be split between our

partnered charities ‘The Sunday for Sammy Trust,

established to help support creative talent in the

performing arts throughout Tyneside, and ‘FACT’, a North-

East based cancer charity helping those suffering from

the impact of cancer, of which Jimmy Nail is patron.

There's no dress code so whether you'd like to dye your hair blue like ‘Wayne Winston Norris’, wear your other pair of cords like ‘Albert Arthur Moxey’ or look like a radish AKA Prince of Trivia ‘Barry Taylor’ we really don't mind! You're welcome to dress as you wish!
